If a longer walk through the sand is what you are looking for, try the 5.5 mile trail. This trail also begins at the day use area and continues around the edge of the dunes. The South Fork Indian Canyon Petroglyphs Trailhead is four miles northeast of the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. There are Tour Guides that take groups to this area or you can attempt the 4WD trail and find the petroglyphs on your own.
