Bryce Canyon for KidsBryce Canyon does not offer a classroom program like Zion Park's explorer program, but they do give out a Junior Ranger booklet at the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center. Kids completing the projects in the booklet will receive an official certificate and badge. Bryce Canyon also offers a just for kids program from June to August. Parents can sign kids up at the Bryce Canyon Visitors Center, then meet with a ranger later in the day. Your children will spend then next hour playing games and having fun, while learning about the Bryce Canyon environment. Unlike the Zion Jr. Explorer program, you must stay with your kids. Kiosks are around the park which you can use to help your children learn more about Bryce. They display geology, history and other education things. Hiking in Bryce with kids Another kid friendly hike is to explore sections of the Rim Trail which is an easy and well-traveled hike. It traverses the rim, from Fairyland Point to Bryce Point, connecting all the scenic overlooks for these two points. The section between Sunrise and Sunset Points is where baby strollers and wheelchairs can be used. The rim reveals a beautiful view of Bryce's Hoodoo's from above. Mileage round trip: 11 miles
Horse Rides in Bryce Canyon - There are 2 to 4 hour horse or mule rides in Bryce Canyon. Cowboys are trained to take people on the horses that have never been on them before. Clear Starry Nights - The skies are clear and the starts shine bright at Bryce. Bryce Canyon has many different programs that embrace astronomy. Check at the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center for the program that is offered during your visit. Family Ranger Programs - The programs vary but each is geared toward kids and families.
