Lady Mountain was one of the first trails constructed in Zion National Park -
Completed in 1923. Hikers in those days were a bit more hardy it seems
since the park quit advertising the route and chains were removed sometime
in the 1960's. Two people have died on Lady Mountain and few ever go up there
anymore. Other than the classics that everyone does, Lady Mountain was my first
route in Zion. I met Bo one day and after that most of my hikes seemed to be where
few ever tread. Without a doubt, there is no greater view point in the park.
