Savor the powerful emotion as the incredible beauty of these parks befall you for the very first time. Experience the desert wild life in the warmth of Summer, partake in the coolness of the weeping falls each Spring and the solace of snow capped mountains in the Winter. Think color, because it will fill your senses year-round in Color Country, giving in to over abundance in the Fall. |

An early fall chases the green from the aspens in Bryce Canyon as well as in Dixie National Forest. Along Scenic Byway 14 from Scenic Byway 89 towards Cedar City the sight seems endless with autumn leaves as far as the eye can see. Come see what nature has made for you! Breathtaking comes to mind and near by Zion National Park is considered to be the diamond among the gems.
To the right is a short turn off of Hwy 14 called Websters Flat. Hwy 14 itself has rows and rows of crowded Aspens that are beautiful any time of the year, but early fall the view is breathtaking.

Return to Mt. Carmel Jct., the junction of Scenic Byways 9 & 89 to hike the "Barracks" of the Virgin river. Here is found the plaque for John Wesley Powell. In the resort town of Mt. Carmel Jct, the Virgin River flows. Here you can head to the river with tubes or just walk along the river path and relax.
This all inclusive resort area is made for enjoyment of the outdoors. A game of golf can be played here, (the fees are incredibly low!) or walking the course after hours where ducks, geese and deer adorn the course. The Best Western Motel is set on the Golf Course, nestled in the Zion Mountains.
