The Zion-Mt. Carmel Scenic Byway (hwy 9) begins at the the South entrance to Zion Park and ends at the serene Mountains of Mount Carmel Junction after navigating six switchbacks and two tunnels through the magnificence of this scenic byway. Many hikes and pullouts to incredible views are located here so you can stay in the car or get our and do some hiking. The short trip into Zion Canyon is by shuttle only, private cars are not allowed.
